Don Khong Introduction
Khong Island or Don Khong is an island of the Champasak Province of southern Laos, located on the Mekong river, in the Si Phan Don area. It is the main island in the South Mekong river region know as the 4000 islands, one of the most scenic areas in Laos.
Attractions in the area include waterfalls, dolphins and local villages. There are a few small villages scattered around the island's edge along with some interesting little temples and pleasant riverside scenery, overall the main attraction here is the gentle pace of life.
