jewel that rises from the pristine waters
of Andaman Sea and the Straits of Malacca
at the northern tip of Peninsular Malaysia.
Langkawi comprises of over 99 sun-kissed
islands, spread out like a delicate string
of pearls.
The
largest and most populated island is Langkawi
after which all the islands in the group
are generally called. It lies 30 km west
of Kuala Perlis on the mainland of Peninsular
Malaysia, just below the maritime border
with neighboring Thailand.
